But it wasn’t enough to be in- spired by the moodboards filled with timeless images of the long list of actors, athletes and artists who are very much associated with this popular silhouette—Akoni was determined to truly update this classic frame, opting for a new modern-luxury spin that allows for bolder, more substantial lines and amplified silhouette that feel very much of today, while always holding tight to an enduring legacy. As always, Ako- ni’s engineering genius is evident in the many small details that impress on close inspection, including custom rivets, branded titanium tem- ple tips and the brand’s impressive hinge plate and threaded screw system, designed to best guarantee longtime enjoyment. The frames’ three tones of crystal acetate, each paired with a complementary gold highlights, rely on the luminous beauty of Akoni’s famed sleek and smooth premium Japanese acetate to give a quiet finishing touch of luxury.
